Privacy Policy
Last updated: 7 July 2026
The short version. Your health data, conversation history and memory live on your device. When you sign in, they sync between your own devices end-to-end encrypted — our servers only ever hold data they can't read. When the coach needs to reply, your message (and any photo you share) is sent through a pseudonymous proxy to a third-party AI provider, used to generate the answer, and not kept by us; no human reviews it. We don't sell your data, and our analytics never include your health information.
1. Who we are
PULS3 (the "app") is operated by PULS3 PTY LTD, a company registered in Victoria, Australia ("PULS3", "we", "us"). This policy explains what data the app processes, how and why, and the choices you have. It applies to the PULS3 iOS app and this website.
2. Data we process
- Health and activity data you choose to connect — for example Apple Health metrics such as sleep, heart rate, HRV, activity and workouts, and any lab results or photos you share in chat.
- Profile and coaching preferences — your goals, life-stage context, communication style and reminders.
- Coaching interactions — your chat messages, logged actions, and the coaching content the app generates for you.
- Account and diagnostic data — a pseudonymous identifier, sign-in state, and technical/diagnostic metadata needed to run the app. This never includes your health information.
3. On-device storage
- By default, your health data, conversation history, memory and safety records are stored on your device.
- Local storage includes app database files, preference values and local notification settings.
- The app includes an explicit data export and a delete-all-data flow (see Your controls).
4. Sync between your devices
- When you sign in, your data can sync across your own devices so your coach is consistent everywhere you use it.
- Sync is end-to-end encrypted: data is encrypted on your device with a key derived for your account, and our servers store only encrypted content they cannot read.
- Safety audit records are kept on-device by default and are excluded from routine sync.
5. AI model processing
- To generate a coaching reply, the app sends your message — and any photo you choose to share — through our proxy to a third-party large-language-model provider.
- The request is pseudonymous: it carries a random identifier, not your name or account details.
- We do not retain the content of these requests on our servers, and no human at PULS3 reviews your conversations. We ask providers not to retain or train on the content, but their handling is also governed by their own terms.
- Because model processing happens in the cloud, this content is transmitted over the internet and may be processed on servers outside Australia (see International transfers).
6. Analytics and diagnostics
- We collect limited, pseudonymous app analytics and crash diagnostics to keep the app working and improve it.
- This data never includes your health information or the content of your conversations.
7. Data sharing
- We do not sell your personal or health data.
- We do not share your data with advertisers.
- We share data only with service providers who help us run the app (for example cloud infrastructure and the AI model provider), and only as needed to deliver features you use.
- We may disclose data if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and security of our users and the app.
8. Your controls and rights
- Edit your profile and coaching preferences in-app at any time.
- Export your app data from Settings.
- Delete all of your app data from Settings, including reminders and cached sign-in state.
- Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal information (including under the Australian Privacy Act and, for eligible users, the GDPR). To make a request, contact us below.
9. Data retention
Data stored on your device remains until you delete it or remove the app. Encrypted sync data is retained while your account is active and deleted when you delete your data or account. AI-processing requests are transient and not retained by us. Pseudonymous analytics are retained only as long as needed for the purposes described above.
10. Security
We use end-to-end encryption for sync, platform protections such as the iOS Keychain for credentials, and encryption in transit for network calls. No system is perfectly secure; please keep your device updated and protected.
11. Children
PULS3 is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has used the app, contact us and we will delete the data.
12. International transfers
We are based in Australia. To provide AI coaching and cloud infrastructure, some processing occurs on servers operated by our providers, which may be located outside Australia. Where required, we take steps to ensure your data receives appropriate protection.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. We will revise the "last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide notice in the app or on this page.
14. Medical disclaimer
PULS3 provides health coaching and informational guidance only. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, or replace professional medical care. If something needs a clinician, the app will tell you, and you should seek professional advice.
15. Contact
For privacy questions or requests, email [email protected]. If you are in Australia and are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
