A Noom alternative that coaches more than your weight

Noom's most common complaint is a renewal you didn't see coming, and its program is a weight-loss course. PULS3 puts food, training, sleep and stress on one plan, with specialists for menopause and women's health, and nothing renews unless you choose to subscribe.

PULS3 is an iPhone app with a head coach and nine specialists, for sleep, nutrition, exercise, stress, mood, lab results, women's health, menopause and men's health, who work to one plan.

Why people look for a Noom alternative

We read 100 recent US App Store reviews of Noom, written between 24 June and 24 August 2026. 51 gave one or two stars.

Renewals you didn't see coming

10 of the 51 negative reviews raise cancelling, renewals without warning or refused refunds. On ProductReview.com.au, Noom rates 1.7 out of 5 across 162 Australian reviews, and the most common complaint there is charges after cancelling. PULS3 is free until 31 October 2026, and nothing renews unless you choose to subscribe. If you do, it is an App Store subscription you manage in your Apple account.

Coaches that feel like computers

Some Australian reviewers on ProductReview.com.au say Noom's coaches are “just computers”, and 9 of the 51 negative US reviews describe scripted support replies. PULS3 tells you up front: the coach is AI, with nine specialists behind one voice, and every reply passes fixed safety rules and a second AI check.

A weight-loss course, with medication on the side

13 of the 100 reviews say Noom now pushes GLP-1 medication, and Noom's help centre says neither Welli nor the coach can change your calorie budget. PULS3 prescribes nothing. It builds a new plan each morning across food, training, sleep and stress, and offers changes for you to accept or decline.

What you get with PULS3

One plan across food, training, sleep and stress

Each morning PULS3 reads last night's sleep and your recent training from Apple Health and sets the day: meals, movement and recovery, with the reason for each. A hard week at work changes tomorrow's session.

Specialists for menopause and women's health

Broken sleep, new aches, energy that doesn't behave the way it used to. PULS3's menopause and women's health specialists work inside the same plan as your training and meals, and tell you when something is worth raising with your doctor.

Dinner for everyone at your table

Tell PULS3 who you cook for, with their allergies, goals and picky eaters. It plans a week of dinners everyone can eat and checks each meal against each person's allergies.

One price, in Australian dollars

Noom lists US$70 a month, US$169 for four months or US$209 a year, billed upfront, and publishes no Australian price. PULS3 is A$9.99 a month or A$89.99 a year after 31 October 2026, with all nine specialists included.

Switching from Noom

  1. Install PULS3 and say what you want, in your own words. “Feel like myself again” is a fine answer. It doesn't have to be a number on the scale.
  2. Connect Apple Health, or skip it. Apple Watch, Garmin and Oura all write to it. Nothing moves over from Noom: PULS3 has no connection to it and starts from what you tell it.
  3. Tell it who you cook for. You get today's plan and a week of dinners everyone at your table can eat.
